Church of Santo Stefano

The origins of the church of Santo Stefano are to be traced when the old Olonio, the ancient town of one of the Three Parishes, was abandoned after the floods and Adda and Mera rivers invaded Pian di Spagna, so the inhabitants had to took refuge in Sorico.

Someone suggests that the bell tower is a pre-existent ancient tower, the present look of the building was given in the eighteenth century by the architect Giulini, from the noble local family.

Only few things of the ancient furniture is left, frescos are very recent.
