Mount Berlinghera dominates upper Como lake, lower Valchiavenna and lower Valtellina, in spite of not being very high (1930 m). The top can be easily reached from San Bartolomeo, by car from
Gera Lario through Bugiallo. The difference in level of 700 m can be overwhelmed in 2 hours, from Alpe Pescedo towards the bocchetta of Chiaro: from here, the watershed is to be followed till the top. A more difficult route still begins from San Bartolomeo, but now direction East must be taken till Alpe Godone, then up to the top (with some difficultness) in about 2,5 hours.
